| Day 1 | Depart USA | U.S. to Sicily : Depart the U.S. on our overnight flight to Sicily. |
| Day 2 | Palermo | Palermo : Welcome to sunny Sicily! Morning arrival into Palermo Airport. Upon arrival at Palermo Airport, our Celtic Tours escort will warmly greet us and transfer to our hotel, the Politeama Palace (or similar) in Palermo. The remainder of the day is at our leisure. Tonight, we enjoy a welcome dinner. |
| Day 3 | Palermo | Palermo : Breakfast at our hotel this morning. Our morning guided tour begins with the visit of the famous Benedictine Abbey of Monreale. Here admire the 12th century cathedral with its outstanding mosaics depicting highlights of Old and New Testaments, and the Cloisters (entrance fees included.) Proceed in the Old City of Palermo featuring the Cathedral of Palermo, a former Mosque, with relics of Santa Rosalia. Free time for lunch. In the afternoon, we continue with our tour escort to the Village of Corleone, as featured in the "Godfather" movies. Dinner on our own and overnight at our hotel in Palermo. |
| Day 4 | Agrigento | Palermo - Segesta - Erice - Agrigento : Breakfast at our hotel. Journey to the west coast of Sicily, reaching the city of Segesta, founded by the Greeks. Visit the Archeological area to view the famous Doric Temple built on a hilltop in the 5th century B.C. (entrance fees included.) Continue along "Via del Sale," The Salt Road, with still has active salt mills. Lunch on our own. After lunch we proceed to Erice and visit of this Medieval Town, with it's breathtaking view of the sea and valley. Continue on to Agrigento. Accommodation at Hotel Colleverde Park (or similar.) Dinner is on our own tonight. |
| Day 5 | Taormina | Agrigento - Piazza Armerina - Taormina : Breakfast at our hotel. This morning, visit the magnificent Valley of the Temples (entrance fees included), containing some of the greatest Greek ruins in the world. Enjoy a morning guided tour including the Temples of Zeus, Concord, Hercules, and Castor and Pollux, plus the Tomb of Theron and the Porta Aurea. Continue our journey across the island and stop in Piazza Armerina to view the extraordinary mosaics of the Roman Villa del Casale (entrance fees included.) Continue on to Taormina area. Accommodation at Hotel Antares (or similar) in Letojanni. Dinner on our own this evening. |
| Day 6 | Mount Etna Excursion | Mount Etna Excursion : Today's tour begins with a visit to the slopes of the highest active volcano in Europe, Mount Etna, where we can marvel at the wooded craters and the latest lava flow. This afternoon we will enjoy a wine tasting focusing on Sicilian wines at a local winery. The balance of the day is ours to relax or explore the beautiful surroundings of Taormina, one of Italy's most attractive resorts. Dinner on our own this evening. |
| Day 7 | Syracuse Excursion | Syracuse Excursion : Breakfast at the hotel. Travel this morning beneath the smoldering summit of Mount Etna to Syracuse, founded by the ancient Greeks. A guided tour of this venerable city highlights the Neapolis Archaeological Park, the Greek Theatre, the Latomie (stone quarries) and the Ear of Dionysius. This evening, savor a special Sicilian dinner with wine in a favorite local restaurant in Taormina. Overnight at the hotel in Letojanni. |
| Day 8 | Depart Taormina | Depart Taormina : After breakfast, transfer to Catania Airport for the return flight to U.S. Take with us the memories of the best of Italy. "Arrivederci," a nostalgic goodbye with a promise to return. |
